Vendor Spotlight: Steve Arnold with Perfect World Landscapes

Each week, we spotlight one of our favorite vendors. While you can always see our complete list of categories, names, and contact info here, these emails will give you a chance to get a deeper understanding of who these people and businesses really are. This week, get to know more about Steve Arnold with Perfect World Landscapes. What sets you apart from other lawn care companies? We’re a full service landscaping company that offers landscape consultation, design, installation, maintenance, irrigation, low voltage lighting, water features, hardscapes and lawn care. We have a degreed Horticulturist and several Certified Master Gardeners on staff. We’re licensed, bonded, insured and a BBB accredited business. We love what we do and everyone at Perfect World takes pride in our work. We’re caring for the earth one landscape at a time.Is there a particular area of expertise that you consider your specialty? Creative ideas. Thoughtful design. Meticulous installation. What is a mistake you see often that we can avoid? Starting a landscape project without a well thought out plan. What’s your process? What happens when a potential client calls you for the first time? It’s relative to the situation, but the most often when a potential client calls, we discuss their needs as they pertain to their landscape. We then set up a meeting so we can get an exact idea of the site and what’s needed. After the initial meeting, we’ll either begin the design process or put together a free estimate for the requested work and move forward to the actual project itself. Any insider tips that we may not know about for preventing problems in our yards and landscaping? Pre-emergent herbicide (organic or otherwise) helps keeps weed seeds from germinating in both lawns and bed areas which can mean a much more attractive lawn / landscape and lot less time spent weeding the beds. Where do you get your supplies in Nashville? We have many local sources for plants and materials, but Bates Nursery & Garden Center on White’s Creek Pike is our favorite. Where can we see examples of your work? We have lots of photos of projects we’ve done on our website www.perfectworldlandscapes.com and on our Facebook Business Page www.facebook.com/perfectworldlandscapes How else can we connect with your company? While you can always see our complete list of categories, names, and contact info here, these blogs will give you a chance to get a deeper understanding of who these people and businesses really are. This week, get to know more about Bill Kendrick, a business broker with Alliant Capital Advisors. What sets you apart from other business brokers? Our firm works from a structured and disciplined process that focuses on confidentiality throughout the process. What qualities should we look for in a business broker? Someone well connected, professional and who has the support from a number of other people in the organization. When should people call you? A business owner can never plan too early for the eventual sale of their business. The earlier they start, the higher potential to maximize the value of a transaction. A business owner will only get value from what can be verified by Tax return or P&L. What happens when a potential client calls you for the first time?
